THEIR CHALLENGE:

The Brotton development, funded by ‘Homes England,’ faced significant setbacks due to incomplete and subpar construction by a previous developer. Applebridge Building Services was entrusted by Home Group with rectifying these issues, with a focus on preserving the existing outer shell while enhancing integrity, functionality, and aesthetics.

OUR SOLUTION:

Our expert team meticulously removed previous installations and conducted internal repairs while safeguarding the outer shell. One notable challenge was the improperly installed first-floor steel framework, causing a 40mm gap to the external wall.

To address this, we installed additional supports and packing to rectify the sagging framework and brought it up to regulations, including firebreaks and sealing.

SCOPE OF WORK:

Applebridge Building Services was appointed to complete the following packages of works:

• External works: drainage, tarmacking,fencing, pin kerbs, driveways, and landscaping
• Envelope works: brick slips, composite cladding, and external mastic sealing
• HMO structural repairs: floor reinstatement, soundproofing, and plastering
• Internal works: bathroom and common area reconfiguration, joinery, rewiring, and re-plumbing
• Kitchen and bathroom installations
• Roof and upstands completion
• Fire door installation
• Floor finishes and redecoration
