THEIR CHALLENGE:
Northern Education Trust sought to improve accessibility and efficiency at Grangefield Academy by reconfiguring the entrance and parking facilities. The existing layout limited capacity and created congestion during peak times. The client required an additional 51 parking spaces, safe and efficient delivery routes, and upgraded drainage infrastructure—all to be delivered within a live school environment where safety, minimal disruption, and continuity of operations were critical.
OUR SOLUTION
Applebridge Building Services worked closely with NET and the Academy’s management team to develop a phased programme of works that prioritised safety and minimised disruption. Temporary traffic management was introduced to maintain safe vehicle and pedestrian movement while construction progressed. Our engineering team designed and installed an attenuation tank to support the Academy’s long-term surface water management, ensuring compliance with local drainage requirements. By reconfiguring the site layout, we provided a solution that not only increased capacity but also improved the efficiency and safety of traffic circulation.
